Resumo: In this article, we will see that the duration of the workday is a factor intrinsically related to the worker's safety and health, directly linked to the incidence of accidents and occupational diseases. Nevertheless, the labor reform approved in 2017 establishes that rules on working hours and intervals are not considered as health, hygiene and safety standards for collective bargaining purposes. This proposition contradicts a wide knowledge about the relation between duration of the journey and health of the worker.

Não obstante, a reforma trabalhista aprovada em 2017 estabelece que as regras sobre duração do trabalho e intervalos não são consideradas como normas de saúde, higiene e segurança do trabalho para fins de negociação coletiva.
