“The siege of Numantia”: An incarnate outline of corruption from the Cervantine drama

Resumo: | I analyze the play The siege of Numancia, by Miguel de Cervantes, as a key writing that hides certain discourses concerning corruption. For this, from the point of view established by the link between Law and Literature, I am interested in explaining how, in order to propose a different approach to this phenomenon, body studies can make a meaningful approach. From political philosophy and literature theory, I try to understand how certain gestures can bring to light ideologies that make the “phantom of corruption” imperceptible, while trying to give back to the body its place of enunciation, as a depositary of rights. |

Para ello, desde el cruce entre Derecho y Literatura me interesa dar cuenta de cómo, para dar un enfoque diferente a este fenómeno, los estudios corporales pueden hacer un aporte significativo. A partir de la filosofía política y la teoría de la literatura buscaré entender cómo ciertos gestos pueden sacar a la luz ideologías que hacen que el “fantasma de la corrupción” sea imperceptible; a la vez que intentan devolver al cuerpo su lugar de enunciación como ente depositario de derechos.Analiso o texto teatral O cerco de Numância, de Miguel de Cervantes, como escrito-chave que esconde certos discursos relativos à corrupção. Para isso, desde o vínculo entre Direito e Literatura, interessa-me dar conta de como, para propor um enfoque diferente deste fenômeno, os estudos corporais podem fazer uma abordagem significativa.
