Resumo:  The interpretation of the data collected by CAGED (General Register of Employed and Unemployed) allows us to analyze the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on intermittent work. The research compare data from the intermittent employment contract, from November 2017 to February 2020, that is, prior to the pandemic, with those after its onset. Furthermore, data from the intermittent employment contract, from March 2020 to March 2021, that is, during the pandemic, are compared with data on formal employment, published on the same platform. With the creation of graphs created using Excel, based on data from CAGED, comparing formal work and intermittent work in the mentioned periods, the paper intends to examine whether the use of the intermittent contracting modality has increased after the beginning of the pandemic, aggravating the precariousness of formal work.
