Methodological challenges of research in education financing: essential aspects collected from studies published in the Fineduca journal

Resumo: | The objective of this article is to systematize reflections on how to carry out research on education financing, based on elements that researchers on this subject have built for knowledge in this field, as well as to identify the challenges involved and the methodological options developed so far. For the development of these reflections, the study was structured around three axes: a) understanding education financing as a dispute for public funds, explaining which conceptual framework the authors share to analyze the field of financing; b) the exercise of theme analysis of the articles in Fineduca journal, having as a central problem the contribution and methodological tools that have operated in research for funding; c) discussion on the most used methodological tools and their implications. With this provocation, it was sought to make the methodologies and choices more explicit in order to advance from a more descriptive study to a more analytical study on financing policies. In this sense, the collective systematization of procedures for methodological solutions seems essential for new researchers and research studies to advance knowledge. Keywords: Education policy. Public fund.Este artículo tiene por objetivo sistematizar reflexiones sobre cómo realizar investigaciones sobre financiamiento de la educación a partir de elementos que los investigadores de dicha temática han construido para el conocimiento del campo, así como identificar los desafíos implicados y las opciones metodológicas desarrolladas hasta el presente. Para el desarrollo de estas reflexiones, el estudio se estructuró a partir de tres ejes: a) la comprensión del financiamiento de la educación como una dimensión de la disputa por el fondo público, explicitándose qué marco conceptual comparten los autores para analizar el campo del financiamiento; b) el ejercicio de análisis temático de los artículos de la revista Fineduca, tomándose como problema central la identificación de los aportes y de los instrumentos metodológicos que han operado en la investigación sobre financiamiento; y c) la discusión sobre los instrumentos metodológicos más utilizados y sus implicaciones. Con la provocación planteada se buscó explicitar más las metodologías y las elecciones hechas como condición para avanzar de trabajos más descriptivos de las políticas de financiamiento a estudios más analíticos. En ese sentido, la sistematización colectiva de procedimientos de soluciones metodológicas parece fundamental para que nuevos investigadores y nuevas investigaciones puedan hacer avanzar el conocimiento. Fondo publico.Este artigo tem como objetivo sistematizar reflexões sobre como fazer pesquisa em financiamento da educação a partir de elementos que os pesquisadores dessa temática têm construído para o conhecimento no campo, bem como identificar os desafios envolvidos e as opções metodológicas desenvolvidas até o presente. Para o desenvolvimento dessas reflexões, o estudo estruturou-se a partir de três eixos: a) a compreensão do financiamento da educação como uma dimensão da disputa pelo fundo público, explicitando-se que arcabouço conceitual os autores partilham para analisar o campo do financiamento; b) o exercício de análise temática dos artigos da revista Fineduca, tendo-se como problema central a identificação dos aportes e dos instrumentos metodológicos que têm operado na pesquisa em financiamento; e c) a discussão sobre os instrumentos metodológicos mais utilizados e suas implicações. Com a provocação proposta, buscou-se explicitar mais as metodologias e as escolhas feitas como condição para avançar de trabalhos mais descritivos das políticas de financiamento para estudos mais analíticos. Nesse sentido, a sistematização coletiva de procedimentos de soluções metodológicas parece fundamental para que novos pesquisadores e novas pesquisas possam fazer o conhecimento avançar.
