Resumo: | The main purpose of this article is to orient and reorient epistemologically and methodologically historical-historiographic research in the field of Education. In this way, this writing continues demonstrating and debating, although not in a watertight way, the main structuring and structuring elements that researchers must systematically include in the construction of scientific research in Education. This writing discusses the main paradigms that involve the different scientific fields with their respective methods, techniques and research epistemologies. Finally, it is noted that this article brings to the surface the discussion, although succinctly, the quarrel between the qualitative and quantitative approaches. In conclusion, the present text leaves that the composition of a scientific work obeys to criteria, technical norms and academic-scientific in the different and different areas of knowledge. |

De esta forma, este debate demuestra, aunque no de forma hermética, los principales elementos estructurales y estructurantes que los investigadores deben incorporar sistemáticamente a la hora de construir la investigación científica en Educación. Se analizan los principales paradigmas que involucran diferentes campos científicos con sus respectivos métodos, técnicas y epistemologías de investigación. Se registra la discusión, aunque de manera sucinta, sobre la disputa entre los enfoques cualitativo y cuantitativo en la investigación científica. Finalmente se considera que la composición de un trabajo científico obedece a criterios, estándares técnicos y académico-científicos en el ámbito de varias y diferentes áreas del conocimiento.A finalidade principal deste artigo é orientar e reorientar epistemológica e metodologicamente as pesquisas histórico-historiográficas no campo da Educação. Desse modo, demonstram-se com este debate, embora não de forma estanque, os principais elementos estruturantes e estruturadores que pesquisadores/as devem incluir sistematicamente por ocasião da construção de uma pesquisa científica em Educação. Discute-se acerca dos principais paradigmas que envolvem os diferentes campos científicos com seus respectivos métodos, técnicas e epistemologias de pesquisa. Deixa-se registrada a discussão, mesmo que de forma sucinta, atinente à querela entre as abordagens qualitativa e quantitativa nas pesquisas científicas.
