Resumo: This text aims to discuss the representations and the symbology of the phallus in the architecture of the public spaces of Rio Grande, RS, as well as the meanings assigned to these materialities and the penis in a society ruled by phallocentrism. The phallic representations were analyzed in photographs of phallic structures. In order to do this, we will use Archaeology as way of interpretation under a queer perspective, because they are capable to inform us, to tell us about how society has built one model of hegemonic masculinity and how the phallocentric discourse composes the materialities in urban space.

Se realizaron análisis de representaciones fálicas en fotografías de las estructuras falocéntricas. Para eso, utilizaremos la Arqueología como una forma de interpretación desde una perspectiva Queer, ya que puede informarnos, contarnos sobre cómo la sociedad construye un molde de masculinidad hegemónica y cómo el discurso falocéntrico compone materialidades en el espacio urbano.O que se pretende neste trabalho é discutir as representações e simbologias atreladas ao falo que estão presentes na arquitetura dos espaços públicos do município de Rio Grande, RS, assim como os significados atribuídos a essas materialidades e ao próprio pênis em uma sociedade pautada pelo falocentrismo. Foram feitas análises das representações fálicas em fotografias.
