Therapeutic adherence and family support of patients with chronic kidney disease

Resumo: Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease is characterized by being a pathology that affects the functionality of the kidneys, preventing them from fulfilling the function of filtering the blood adequately, strictly necessary drugs must be used, in adequate doses and intervals, during the necessary time, patients dependent on care have difficulties in adapting to their therapeutic treatment, becoming a public health problem. Objective: To analyze therapeutic adherence and family support of patients with chronic kidney disease. Method: The research is mixed, cross-sectional. In the qualitative phase, the information was collected through semi-structured interviews with 10 family members, at which time the information was saturated, and the quantitative phase through the Morisky-Green Test, applied to 36 patients in the hemodialysis area of ​​the Ambato General Teaching Hospital. Results: It was evidenced that 52.8% of the patients present adherence to the treatment while 47.2% of the patients presented hypocompliance, in relation to the management by the relatives, it was evidenced that they try to comply with the established indications, however, when administering the medication they are mixing it, which can generate drug interactions. Conclusions: Therapeutic adherence is related to family support to fully comply with the treatment, therefore, help and support measures are implemented so that they can lead their lives without complications.

Objetivo: Analizar la adherencia terapéutica y apoyo familiar del paciente con Enfermedad Renal Crónica. Método: La investigación es de tipo mixta, de corte transversal. En la fase cualitativa la información se recolecto a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a 10 familiares momento en que la información se saturo y la fase cuantitativa a través del Test de Morisky-Green, aplicado a 36 pacientes del área de hemodiálisis del Hospital General Docente Ambato. Resultados: Se evidencio que el 52,8% de los pacientes presenta adherencia al tratamiento mientras que el 47,2% de los pacientes presentaron incumplimiento, en relación al manejo por parte de los familiares se evidencio que tratan de cumplir con las indicaciones establecidas, sin embargo, al administrar la medicación la están mezclando, pudiendo generar interacciones medicamentosas. Conclusiones: La adherencia terapéutica tiene relación con el apoyo familiar para cumplir a cabalidad con el tratamiento, por lo tanto, se implementan medidas de ayuda y apoyo para que puedan llevar su vida sin complicaciones.Introdução: A Doença Renal Crônica caracteriza-se por ser uma patologia que afeta a funcionalidade dos rins, impedindo-os de cumprir a função de filtrar o sangue adequadamente, devem ser utilizados medicamentos estritamente necessários, em doses e intervalos adequados, durante o tempo necessário, os pacientes dependentes de cuidados apresentam dificuldades de adaptação ao seu tratamento terapêutico, tornando-se um problema de saúde pública. Objetivo: Analisar a adesão terapêutica e o apoio familiar de pacientes com Doença Renal Crônica. Método: A pesquisa é mista, transversal. Na fase qualitativa, as informações foram coletadas por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com 10 familiares, momento em que as informações foram saturadas, e na fase quantitativa por meio do Teste de Morisky-Green, aplicado a 36 pacientes na área de hemodiálise do​​​​​​ Hospital Geral de Ensino de Ambato. Resultados: Evidenciou-se que 52,8% dos pacientes apresentam adesão ao tratamento enquanto 47,2% dos pacientes apresentaram hipoaderência, em relação ao manejo pelos familiares, evidenciou-se que eles tentam cumprir as indicações estabelecidas, porém, quando administrando o medicamento estão misturando, o que pode gerar interações medicamentosas.
