Effective digital skills for the development of meaningful virtual classes during covid-19

This article is an evaluation of the teaching digital competences for the use of virtual tools during the work-at-home modality by Covid-19. Having started classes electronically, without adequate training in digital skills, triggered a series of inconveniences in the educational system; among them, prolonged student discouragement, school dropouts and poor development of skills with performance criteria. This reality threatens to create a delay in this student generation of two to three years, affecting the principle of quality and equality of education in the midst virtuality, effective tools must be known and used to achieve meaningful learning. The methodology that was applied was qualitative research, the presentation of the result was carried out through descriptive statistics, a semi-structured base survey was applied to 21 teachers to know what skills handle and which of them they apply in their virtual classrooms. The result of the survey allowed us to achieve our research objective, which was to know which areas of digital competences present weaknesses, affecting educational quality.  At the end, the strategies to be taken to ensure comprehensive training are suggested by using telematic tools effectively.
