Objective: Apply the Nursing Care Process in patients with colostomy. Methods: Original scientific documents and clinical cases were reviewed with data related and relevant to the nursing care process and patients with colostomies with a publication date of up to 5 years old with the help of databases such as PubMed, Scielo, Dialnet, and the PAE was applied based on the clinical case. Results: Colorectal pathologies lead to removal of portions of the intestine, thus allowing it to be freed from injuries, for which an opening is created predominantly in the left part of the abdomen in order to communicate a portion of the intestine with the outside environment, called a colostomy or ileostomy with the order to eliminate waste with the help of a collection bag. The Nursing Care Process applied to patients with colostomies seeks to provide both pre- and postoperative care with activities aimed at providing the patient with a correct education about her condition and allowing a satisfactory physical and psychological recovery. Conclusion: Colorectal pathologies cause the removal of portions of the intestine, which leads to the opening of an artificial outlet for the waste generated by the body and which is deposited in an external bag for subsequent elimination; The Nursing Care Process evidences those adequate postoperative care that achieves both physical and psychological recovery, allowing the patient to lead a normal life. |

Sapienza Grupo Editorial2022-06-09info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://journals.sapienzaeditorial.com/index.php/SIJIS/article/view/39610.51798/sijis.v3i2.396Sapienza: International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies; Vol. 3 No. 3 (2022): Dossier: Current affairs in Health Sciences; 88-110Sapienza: International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies; Vol. 3 Núm. 3 (2022): Dossier: Actualidad en Ciencias de la Salud; 88-110Sapienza: International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies; v. 3 n. 3 (2022): Dossiê: Atualidades em Ciências da Saúde; 88-1102675-9780reponame:Sapienza (Curitiba)instname:Sapienza Grupo Editorialinstacron:SAPIENZAspahttps://journals.sapienzaeditorial.com/index.php/SIJIS/article/view/396/257Copyright (c) 2022 Devora Estefanía Manzano Quisimalin, Hortensia Senaida Ortiz Suarez, Laura Yolanda Flores Chiliguano, Verónica Graciela Jiménez Ayalahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessManzano Quisimalin, Devora Estefanía Ortiz Suarez, Hortensia Senaida Flores Chiliguano, Laura Yolanda Jiménez Ayala, Verónica Graciela 2022-12-26T21:05:53Zoai:ojs2.journals.sapienzaeditorial.com:article/396Revistahttps://journals.sapienzaeditorial.com/index.php/SIJISPRIhttps://journals.sapienzaeditorial.com/index.php/SIJIS/oaieditor@sapienzaeditorial.com2675-97802675-9780opendoar:2023-01-12T16:42:58.653946Sapienza (Curitiba) - Sapienza Grupo Editorialfalse |
