Illegal mining against environmental rights in Ecuador

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the violation of environmental rights as a result of illegal mining in Ecuador. The study was framed within a non-experimental methodological design, of the type of field research, with a descriptive level, whose population was composed of 30 people from the province of El Oro, the context locality of this investigation. The survey was used as a technique, under the data collection instrument the questionnaire, through the Likert scale. The information collected through these instruments was processed through a quantitative analysis, which allowed the presentation of the results through frequency tables, as well as their respective interpretation. In this direction, having carried out the analysis of the data, together with the review of the documentary sources and considering the established methodology, it can be concluded that illegal mining is a scourge that must be combated forcefully from all the corresponding instances in order to preserve the environmental rights contemplated in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and other legal norms and in favor of future generations.
