Resumo: This article presents the design of a hybrid power system connected to the grid for applications in a rural area in the rural parish of Carlos Concha Torres in the province of Esmeraldas. The applied methodology is of a quantitative nature, the same one that was carried out investigating the potentials of wind and solar energy and compiling data from different sources. HOMER software presents a hybrid optimization model through renewable energies, which was used to analyze the available data and the economic viability of the proposed energy system. Finally, two types of models called outside the network and inside the network are designed and optimized for comparative purposes. It concludes by performing a sensitivity analysis for each model in order to determine the effect of variations in the cost of network energy on its total cost.

La metodología aplicada es de carácter cuantitativo, la misma que se llevó a cabo investigando los potenciales de la energía eólica y solar y recopilando datos de diferentes fuentes. El software HOMER presenta un modelo híbrido de optimización a través de las energías renovables, que se utilizó para analizar los datos disponibles y la viabilidad económica del sistema de energía propuesto. Finalmente, se diseñan y optimizan dos tipos de modelos denominados fuera de la red y dentro de la red con fines comparativos. Se concluye realizando un análisis de sensibilidad para cada modelo con el fin de determinar el efecto de las variaciones en el coste de la energía de la red sobre su coste total.Este artigo apresenta o projeto de um sistema elétrico híbrido conectado à rede para aplicações em uma área rural na freguesia rural de Carlos Concha Torres na província de Esmeraldas. A metodologia aplicada é de natureza quantitativa, a mesma que foi realizada investigando os potenciais da energia eólica e solar e compilando dados de diferentes fontes. O software HOMER apresenta um modelo de otimização híbrido por meio de energias renováveis, que foi utilizado para analisar os dados disponíveis e a viabilidade econômica do sistema energético proposto. Finalmente, dois tipos de modelos chamados fora da rede e dentro da rede são projetados e otimizados para fins comparativos.
