Reflections on the implementation of a school inn in Sete Cidades National Park (Piauí, Brazil)

Resumo: The Bachelor's Degree in Tourism at the Federal University of Delta do Parnaíba (UFDPar) and the management of the protected area (UC) National Park (PARNA) of Sete Cidades (PI) dialogue about ways of reconciling local environmental conservation with the development of tourist and pedagogical activities to generate resources for PARNA and for the surrounding community, as well as promoting teaching, research and extension activities with teachers and students of the mentioned course. In this context, this article analyzed, in a preliminary way, the possibility of implanting a school inn in the investigated UC, and its reflexes for the management of the park and for the training process in higher education. As a methodology, bibliographic and documental research, direct observation and structured interviews with local actors were used, as well as on-site visits to assess local administrative and structural conditions. The results indicated that the implementation of the first inn-school in a Brazilian UC through a specific administrative structure for this purpose is possible in the PARNA de Sete Cidades, as there is a physical structure previously implemented, but with the need for general reforms for execution. of hosting services. Furthermore, there is a need to format administrative and institutional instruments between the partners involved in order to enable the management of the tourist and pedagogical objectives of a inn-school.

Em tal quadro, este artigo analisou, de forma preliminar, a possibilidade de implantação de uma pousada-escola na UC investigada, e seus reflexos para a gestão do parque e para o processo formativo no ensino superior. Como metodologia, empregou-se as pesquisas bibliográfica e documental, a observação direta e a realização de entrevistas estruturadas com atores locais, como também visitas in loco para avaliar as condições administrativas e estruturais locais. Os resultados indicaram que a implantação da primeira pousada-escola em uma UC brasileira por meio de uma estrutura administrativa específica para esta finalidade é possível no PARNA de Sete Cidades, pois há uma estrutura física implantada anteriormente, porém com a necessidade de reformas gerais para execução dos serviços de hospedagem.
