Heritage education and geotourism: comparative study of educational practices in geosites in Brazil and Spain

Resumo: | One of the education focuses is to create awareness about the preservation of heritage, what it means to know educational practices by and for natural heritage in geosites, for example, in order to understand how this process takes place. This article, in particular, focuses on these geosites that are located in different countries and biomes and that are presented as tourist attractions in their territories: the Rural District of Peirópolis, located in the municipality of Uberaba, in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and Natural Park of Marismas del Odiel, Ayuntamiento de Huelva, in Andalucía, Spain. For this purpose, both spaces are analysed, using a qualitative methodology of observation and data recording. The data analysis was guided by three conceptual categories: (i) Heritage concept, (ii) Heritage communication model and (iii) Heritage and identity. |

Este artículo, en particular, se enfoca en estos geositios que se ubican en diferentes países y biomas y que se presentan como atractivos turísticos en sus territorios: el Distrito Rural de Peirópolis, ubicado en el municipio de Uberaba, en Minas Gerais, Brasil, y el Paraje Natural de Marismas del Odiel, en el municipio de Huelva, dentro de la provincia homónima, en Andalucía, España. Para ello se analizan, empleando una metodología cualitativa de observación y registro de datos, ambos espacios indicados.
