Resumo: | This visitation to the onoma (proper name) from the Sociocognitive Anthroponomastics articulates the performative value of the diachronic phenomenon of self-naming to identity mechanisms of power maintenance common to the political making of the Ancient Age, especially the Akkadian Empire (Ancient Mesopotamia) and the 18th Egyptian dynasty (New Empire of Egypt). In order to understand the anthroponyms (proper names of a person) arising from self-naming (secondary naming that an individual assumes for himself) as statements of illocutionary force that communicate political desires through religious cosmovisional belonging, this discussion will be guided by the contextualization of two self-nominations brought to the historical agenda by Archeology: ‘Enheduanna’ (En, ‘high/high priestess’; hedu, ‘ornament’; Ana, ‘from heaven/paradise’), high priestess of the Sumerian temple of the moon god ‘Nana’ in Ur – whose primary Akkadian name makes if unknown – and ‘Akhenaton’ (‘effective spirit of Aten’), Egyptian monarch of present-day Amarna (formerly Akhetaten) whose public name, before the Amarna religious reform, was Amenhotep IV (‘Peace of Amun’). The literature review necessary for the elaboration of this qualitative research is guided by the interdisciplinary and draws the recursive sociological relationship between the autonominative phenomenon and sociocognitive communication of political-religious belonging through the metonymic semantics of the secondary anthroponym. |

The literature review necessary for the elaboration of this qualitative research is guided by the interdisciplinary and draws the recursive sociological relationship between the autonominative phenomenon and sociocognitive communication of political-religious belonging through the metonymic semantics of the secondary anthroponym.
