Professional profiles of bahian teachers teaching mathematics in the final years of elementary education

Resumo: This article is a review of a graduation course research and aims to identify and describe the training and profiles of teachers teaching mathematics in the municipality of Barreiras-BA. It is a qualitative research, of the type field research, carried out with teachers who teach the discipline in the final years of elementary school of the schools of the urban network of the mentioned municipality. A questionnaire was used as a data-producing instrument that was applied after validation with subjects who presented profiles similar to those of the research participants. The municipal teaching network, at the time of the research, in 2015, had a group of 54 teachers teaching Mathematics subjects, among which 33 accepted to participate in the research, responding to the questionnaire proposed. The responses were categorized and analyzed by the Content Analysis method, supported mainly by Bardin (2011). At the end of the research, in view of the content produced by the subjects' speeches, it was identified that there are three profiles of teachers in the municipality, namely: practical-craft, reflexive and invested. We recognize the need for the practice of these professionals to be investigated in future research.

A rede municipal de ensino, quando da realização da pesquisa em 2015, tinha um quadro de 54 professores lecionando às disciplinas de Matemática. Desse total, 33 aceitaram participar da investigação e responder ao questionário proposto. As respostas foram categorizadas e analisadas pelo método de Análise de Conteúdo, respaldando-se, sobretudo, em Bardin (2007). Ao final da pesquisa, tendo em vista os conteúdos produzidos pelas falas dos sujeitos, foi identificado que existem três perfis de professores no município, são eles: Prático-artesanal, reflexivos e investidos.
