Investigative approach of environmental impacts in the Cajueiro Lagoon as a strategy for teaching Ecology

Resumo: This research proposes a new approach in teaching Ecology in High School from the investigation of environmental problems of Lagoa do Cajueiro, municipality Joaquim Pires, Piauí State. The study aimed to facilitate the learning of this theme and to improve new teaching strategies. To assess this approach, we ally field classes with dialogue expository classes of the current contents of the discipline. The main data collection method was observation, to check whether the students understood and then used the concepts appropriately throughout the activities carried out. We found that participants expressed more about the Ecology concepts, and also reported the importance of this type of activity, once they saw up close the main problems that devastate the studied ecosystem

Su objetivo fue facilitar el aprendizaje de este tema y mejorar las estrategias de enseñanza. Como metodología, se desarrollaron clases de campo hiladas a las clases expositivas, con diálogos de los contenidos propuestos. Con observación se apañaron datos y se verificó la comprensión de los hechos investigados como también el desempeño de los estudiantes. Se observó que los participantes expresaron haber entendido más sobre el tema Ecología, además de reportar la importancia de este tipo de actividad, por tener mirado cercano los principales problemas que molestan el ecosistema estudiado.A pesquisa propõe o ensino de Ecologia no Ensino Médio através de abordagem investigativa dos problemas ambientais da Lagoa do Cajueiro, no município de Joaquim Pires, Piauí. Teve como objetivo facilitar a aprendizagem deste tema e melhorar as estratégias de ensino.  Na metodologia desenvolvida destacou-se a aula de campo aliada às aulas expositivas dialogadas dos conteúdos propostos. Foi utilizado a observação como principal método de coleta de dados, averiguando se os estudantes compreenderam e utilizaram de forma adequada os conceitos ao longo das atividades realizadas.
