The verbal-social interaction process and the images built by students about teachers of Sciences and Biology

Resumo: The article presents results of an empirical research whose main objective was to analyze the images that students construct of themselves and of their  professors of Sciences and Biology from the processes of verbal-social interaction that happen in the school context. The study has its theoretical framework based on the concepts of dialogism and dialogicity proposed by Mikhail Bakhtin and Paulo Freire, respectively. Data were collected through interviews with third year students (high school) of three public schools in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Thequalitative analysis indicates that the students consider that the good relationship with the teachers is related to the presence of the dialogue, providing a better interaction among them and reducing the possibilities of conflicts.

El estudio tiene su marco teórico basado en los conceptos de dialogismo y dialogicidad propuestos por Mikhail Bakhtin y Paulo Freire, respectivamente. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de entrevistas con estudiantes de tercer año (escuela secundaria) de tres escuelas públicas en el estado de Río de Janeiro. El análisis cualitativo señala que los estudiantes consideran que la buena relación con los docentes está relacionada con la presencia del diálogo, lo que proporciona una mejor interacción entre ellos y reduce las posibilidades de conflictos.O artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa empírica cujo objetivo principal consistiu em analisar as imagens que alunos constroem de si próprios e de seus professores de Ciências e Biologia a partir dos processos de interação verbal-social que acontecem no contexto escolar. O estudo tem seu referencial teórico sustentado nos conceitos de dialogismo e dialogicidade propostos por Mikhail Bakhtin e Paulo Freire, respectivamente. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas com alunos do terceiro ano (ensino médio) de três escolas públicas do estado do Rio de Janeiro.
