Teaching sequence about arbovirosis assuming critical awareness in comprehensive training

Resumo: Arboviruses such as dengue, yellow fever, Zika and chikungunya have become a growing public health problem. “campaigner” actions by the government that do not adequately sensitize the population and the lack of a critical-reflective debate make it difficult to combat these diseases. We present here the proposal of a Didactic Sequence (SD) addressing the arboviruses theme, which brings research as a teaching and learning strategy as a pedagogical principle, seeking to bring students closer to scientific knowledge and develop their reflective, critical and analytical skills. DS was applied and the results show that it is significant in learning and awareness, contributing to the development of critical-scientific thinking and the students' capacity for social participation.

Las acciones “activistas” del gobierno que no sensibilizan adecuadamente a la población y la falta de un debate crítico-reflexivo dificultan el combate a estas enfermedades. Presentamos aquí la propuesta de una Secuencia Didáctica (DS) que aborda la temática de los arbovirus, que acerca la investigación como estrategia de enseñanza y aprendizaje como principio pedagógico, buscando acercar a los estudiantes al conocimiento científico y desarrollar sus habilidades reflexivas, críticas y analíticas. Se aplicó DS y los resultados muestran que es significativo en el aprendizaje y la conciencia, contribuyendo al desarrollo del pensamiento crítico-científico y la capacidad de participación social de los estudiantes.Arboviroses, como dengue, febre amarela, zika e chikungunya, têm se tornado um crescente problema de saúde pública. Ações “campanhistas” do poder público que não sensibilizam adequadamente a população e a falta de um debate crítico-reflexivo dificultam a conscientização e o combate a essas doenças. Este artigo objetiva apresentar o desenvolvimento de uma sequência didática (SD) que foi baseada na pesquisa como princípio pedagógico e nos preceitos da formação integral dos alunos.
