Analysis of the theme “biological Evolution” in the teaching materials of a biological science course - Graduation

Resumo: On this paper, considering the „biological evolution‟, according to the curricular guidelines for the Biological Science courses, constitutes the hub integrator between the several curricular components, its objectives was to map the approaches about this thematic in the off-line texts available to the students in one of these courses based at a public institution. Therefore, it was used a qualitative approach, like a documentary. The analysed documents were off-line texts called “students book” of twelve curricular components available to all the students from the course. For the information processing, it was used a content analyse. The results revealed that the molecular approach is more in-depth and is concentrated on only two curricular components; this can contribute to the fragmentation of the teaching about biological evolution.

Para eso, se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo de tipo documental. Los documentos analizados eran textos fuera de línea denominados "libros para estudiantes" de doce componentes curriculares puestos a disposición de los estudiantes del curso. Para el tratamiento de la información se utilizó el análisis de contenido. Los resultados revelaron que el enfoque "molecular" se enfatiza más y se concentra en sólo dos componentes del plan de estudios; hecho que puede contribuir a la fragmentación de la enseñanza de la evolución biológica.Neste artigo, considerando que a ‘evolução biológica’, de acordo com as Diretrizes Curriculares para os Cursos de Ciências Biológicas, constitui o eixo integrador entre os diversos componentes curriculares, objetivou-se mapear as abordagens dessa temática nos textos off-line disponibilizados para os alunos em um desses cursos de uma instituição pública. Para tanto, utilizou-se uma abordagem qualitativa do tipo documental. Os documentos analisados foram textos off-line chamados de ‘livros do aluno’ de doze componentes curriculares disponibilizados aos discentes do curso. Para o tratamento das informações, utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo.
