A look at human health: a phenomenological study permeated by spinal aplasia

A specific concept of health permeates clinical discussions in its most diverse facets and in psychology, as in human sciences in general, health becomes –according to a positivist notion– an ideal to be achieved from clinical tools with therapeutic intent. Thinking about the concept of health, the implication of this concept in the construction of each way of being and understanding the therapist's performance in face of the positivist ideals established as absolute truths makes up the path of this work, also the limits of contemporary technique will be highlighted, which forcibly causes the phenomena to show themselves from its impositions. It was understood that, according to the phenomenological view, falling ill occurs through restrictions on the possibilities for the realization of an existence, not being health, therefore, only the biological functionality of a body, but, much more than that, the opening to the ontological freedom of each being.
