Resumo: Introduction: school is a favorable environment for health problems. Prevention and health promotion actions are priorities, however, it is necessary for teachers to know how to handle the situation. Yet educators are fearful and insecure. General objective: to analyze the self-confidence of preschool and basic education teachers with regard to the management of health problems at the school. Specific objectives: to describe the construction and validation of the visual analog scale of self-confidence of teachers to handle health problems at school and to identify the factors associated with self-confidence before and after educational activities and associated to the promotion of self-confidence. Method: organized in two stages: the first stage refers to the first specific objective and is characterized as a methodological study. Twelve judges participated in the content validation and 25 teachers in the semantic validation. Internal consistency was determined by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The second stage addressed the second specific objective and is characterized as a quasi-experimental pre- and post-test study. Seventy-six teachers participated, subdivided into four schools. For each school, the production of the empirical material took place in three meetings. The research instruments used were: characterization tool; Visual analog scale of teachers' self-confidence to manage health problems at school; Knowledge assessment questionnaire to deal with health problems at school and Scale of satisfaction with the simulated clinical experiences. The educational activity consisted of four simulated scenarios. Data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics, using the Mann-Whitney test, Kruskal-Wallis, Spearman's correlation coefficient and multivariate linear regression. The ethical provisions for research involving human beings were met. Results: The final visual analog scale consists of 12 items. All items were evaluated as pertinent, obtaining 100% of agreement among the judges and being considered clear by the target audience, with high internal consistency among the items. Regarding the second stage, a low average self-confidence score was found before the educational activity. After participating in the simulated scenarios, self-confidence was promoted. The variable "background experience with health problems" presented a statistically significant association with the mean self-confidence score (p=0.026) and the mean self-confidence promotion score (p=0.001). The variable "knowledge promotion" had a weak negative correlation with the mean self-confidence score (p=-0.273). The variable "professional experience" maintained a significant relationship with the mean self-confidence score in the post-phase (p=0.008). Final considerations: teachers feel uncomfortable to cope with health problems at school. The results can support the planning of health education actions in the school environment.

As ações de prevenção e promoção à saúde são prioritárias, porém, faz-se necessário que os professores saibam como manejar a situação. Todavia, os educadores apresentam medo e insegurança. Objetivo geral: analisar a autoconfiança de professores da educação infantil e fundamental I com relação ao manejo das intercorrências de saúde na escola. Objetivos específicos: descrever a construção e validação da Escala visual analógica de autoconfiança dos professores para manejo das intercorrências de saúde na escola e identificar os fatores associados à autoconfiança antes e após atividade educativa mediada pela simulação e associados à promoção da autoconfiança. Método: organizado em duas etapas: a primeira etapa refere-se ao primeiro objetivo específico e se caracteriza por estudo metodológico. Doze juízes participaram da validação do conteúdo e 25 professores da validação semântica. Foi determinada a consistência interna pelo coeficiente de alfa de Cronbach. A segunda etapa contemplou o segundo objetivo específico e se caracteriza por estudo quase experimental, do tipo pré e pós-teste. Participaram 76 professores, subdivididos em quatro escolas. Para cada escola, a produção do material empírico deu-se em três encontros. Os instrumentos de pesquisa utilizados foram: instrumento de caracterização; Escala visual analógica de autoconfiança dos professores para manejo das intercorrências de saúde na escola; Questionário de avaliação do conhecimento para atuar diante de intercorrências de saúde na escola e Escala de satisfação com as experiências clínicas simuladas. A atividade educativa foi composta por quatro cenários simulados. Os dados foram analisados a partir da estatística descritiva e analítica, utilizou-se o teste de Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, coeficiente de correlação de Spearman e regressão linear univariada e multivariada. Cumpriram-se os preceitos éticos de pesquisas com seres humanos. Resultados: a escala visual analógica final é composta por 12 itens. Todos os itens foram avaliados como pertinentes, obteve-se concordância de 100% entre os juízes e foi considerada clara pelo público-alvo, apresentando alta consistência interna entre os itens. Com relação à segunda etapa constatou-se baixo escore médio de autoconfiança anterior à atividade educativa. Após participação nos cenários simulados houve promoção da autoconfiança. A variável “experiência anterior” apresentou associação estatisticamente significativa com o escore médio de autoconfiança anterior a atividade educativa (p=0.026) e com o escore médio de promoção da autoconfiança (p=0.001). A variável “promoção do conhecimento” apresentou correlação negativa fraca com escore médio de autoconfiança anterior à atividade educativa (p=-0.273). A variável “experiência profissional” manteve relação significativa com escore médio de autoconfiança após atividade educativa (p=0.008). Considerações finais: os professores sentem-se pouco confiantes para manejar intercorrências de saúde na escola. Os resultados podem subsidiar o planejamento das ações de educação em saúde no ambiente escolar.Não recebi financiamentoporUniversidade Federal de São CarlosCâmpus São CarlosPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem - PPGEnfUFSCarCriançaSaúde escolarEnfermagemPrimeiros socorrosChildSchool healthNursingFirst aidCIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM::ENFERMAGEM DE SAUDE PUBLICACIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM::ENFERMAGEM PEDIATRICAAutoconfiança no manejo das intercorrências de saúde na escola entre professores da educação infantil e fundamental ISelf-confidence in the management of school health problems among preschool and basic education teachersAutoconfianza en el manoseo de los problemas de salud en la escuela entre profesores de la educación infantil y básicainfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisOnline4eaa9fc0-1e6d-4a3c-b0af-0179d5fd3a4finfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFSCARinstname:Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCAR)instacron:UFSCARORIGINALDissertação_Jaqueline Brosso Zonta_ufscar2018.pdfDissertação_Jaqueline Brosso Zonta_ufscar2018.pdfDissertaçãoapplication/pdf1560589https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstream/ufscar/10020/1/Disserta%c3%a7%c3%a3o_Jaqueline%20Brosso%20Zonta_ufscar2018.pdfd78a61451effeb9e2b95241a72173b78MD51Carta_comprovante_Jaqueline_Zonta_UFSCar_2018.pdfCarta_comprovante_Jaqueline_Zonta_UFSCar_2018.pdfCarta Comprovanteapplication/pdf1170016https://repositorio.ufscar.br/bitstream/ufscar/10020/2/Carta_comprovante_Jaqueline_Zonta_UFSCar_2018.pdf655e68a9610ea2a61bf3620a82fae52bMD52LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
