Resumo: We analyze in this editorial conceptual and methodological aspects of the Public Consultation SECOVID/MS N. 1, of December 22, 2021, promoted by the Extraordinary Secretariat to Combat Covid-19 of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. Designed to obtain the manifestation of civil society regarding vaccination against Covid-19 in children aged 5 to 11 years in the context of the Pfizer/Comirnaty vaccine approval by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) on December 16, 2021, the public consultation is, strictly speaking, a referendum to support ideological positions. Narrowing the look at the data collection instrument, we present crass errors from its conception, through its execution and ending with its practical ineffectiveness.

Diseñada para obtener la manifestación de la sociedad civil sobre la vacunación contra el covid-19 en niños de 5 a 11 años en el contexto de la aprobación de la vacuna Pfizer/Comirnaty por la Agencia Nacional de Vigilancia Sanitaria (ANVISA) el 16 de diciembre del mismo año, la consulta pública se configura, en rigor, como un referéndum para la aprobación de posiciones ideológicas. Estrechando la mirada sobre el instrumento de recolección de datos, presentamos errores crasos desde su concepción, pasando por su ejecución y terminando con su ineficacia práctica.Analisamos neste editorial aspectos conceptuais e metodológicos da Consulta Pública SECOVID/MS Nº 1, de 22 de dezembro de 2021, promovida pela Secretaria Extraordinária de Enfrentamento à Covid-19 do Ministério da Saúde do Brasil. Concebida para obter a manifestação da sociedade civil sobre a vacinação contra a covid-19 em crianças de 5 a 11 anos de idade no contexto da aprovação vacina Pfizer/Comirnaty pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA) em 16 de dezembro do mesmo ano, a consulta pública configura-se, a rigor, como um referendum de aprovação de posições ideológicas.
