ANTI-RACIST EDUCATION: Potentialities and Obstacles

Summary: The present work focuses on a theoretical/bibliographical discussion that will investigate the academic production of articles centered on teaching practices guided by an anti-racist education and on the implications of these actions in the school as a public institution for the formation of social subjects. The objective is to amalgamate in the work, from the analysis of the selected scientific productions, the educational potentialities and obstacles faced in the school. It is understood that such works can reverberate in the awareness of teachers and encourage anti-racist practices from the school, which is invested with greater importance when we are faced with a Brazilian society marked by the existence and perpetuity of structural racism. Therefore, when researching anti-racist educational practices and the school as a school institution, inserted in a contemporary social context, an anti-racist potential is evident from the social reproduction in the dialogue between the historical structure and current contextual practices. Moreover, obstacles are found when the historical dimension is erased from the contemporary system of practices.

El objetivo es amalgamar en el trabajo, a partir del análisis de las producciones científicas seleccionadas, las potencialidades educativas y los obstáculos enfrentados en la escuela. Se entiende que tales obras pueden repercutir en la conciencia de los docentes y fomentar prácticas antirracistas desde la escuela, lo que adquiere mayor importancia cuando nos enfrentamos a una sociedad brasileña marcada por la existencia y perpetuidad del racismo estructural. Por lo tanto, al investigar las prácticas educativas antirracistas y la escuela como institución escolar, inserta en un contexto social contemporáneo, se evidencia un potencial antirracista desde la reproducción social en el diálogo entre la estructura histórica y las prácticas contextuales actuales. Además, se encuentran obstáculos cuando se borra la dimensión histórica del sistema de prácticas contemporáneo.O presente trabalho tem como foco uma discussão de cunho teórico/bibliográfico que vai investigar a produção acadêmica de artigos com foco em práticas docentes pautadas por uma educação antirracista e nas implicações dessas ações na escola como instituição pública de formação dos sujeitos sociais. A expectativa é de amalgamar no trabalho, minimamente, as possíveis potencialidades educativas e obstáculos enfrentados na escola e que tenham sido abordados por trabalhos publicados em uma importante plataforma digital de divulgação de pesquisas acadêmicas. Entendemos que tais trabalhos podem reverberar na sensibilização de docentes e fomentar práticas antirracistas no chão da escola, o que se investe de uma maior importância ao nos deparar com uma sociedade brasileira marcada pela existência e perenidade do racismo estrutural.
