NEW PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES IN ARCHITECTURE AND URBANISM: ACTIVE METHODOLOGIES AND LEARNING STYLES

Resumo: The research addresses the teaching-learning difficulties of the Architecture and Urbanism course at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) and investigates whether these problems, raised with the help of the Structuring Director Nucleus (SDN), are inherent to higher education in the area or if they arise in high school issues. The Pedagogical Innovation project (PIP), responsible for the work, used the technique of listening and embracement to identify difficulties and promoted dialogues with the professors, using action-research methodology, about active teaching methodologies and learning styles. Didactic materials were developed and leveling workshops, tutoring and short courses also based on active methodologies were carried out. The result indicated that the problems are similar in both spheres of teaching and that the teachers' teaching process is related to their own learning styles. Finally, the workshops and tutorials that were carried out, were widely accessed by the students, contributing to the cyclical process of teaching and learning.

Finally, the workshops and tutorials that were carried out, were widely accessed by the students, contributing to the cyclical process of teaching and learning.La investigación aborda las dificultades de enseñanza-aprendizaje del curso de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT) e investiga si estos problemas, planteados con la ayuda del Núcleo Diretor Estruturante (NDE), son inherentes a la enseñanza superior en la zona o si surgen de cuestiones relacionadas con la enseñanza secundaria. El Proyecto de Innovación Pedagógica (PIP), responsable del trabajo, utilizó la técnica de escucha y acogimento para identificar las dificultades y promovió el diálogo con los profesores, utilizando la metodología de investigación-acción, sobre metodologías activas de enseñanza y estilos de aprendizaje. Se elaboraron materiales didácticos y se realizaron talleres de nivelación, monitorías y minicursos, también basados en metodologías activas. El resultado indicó que los problemas son similares en ambos ámbitos de enseñanza y que el proceso de enseñanza de los profesores está relacionado con sus propios estilos de aprendizaje. Además, los talleres y las monitorías fueron ampliamente aprovechados por los alumnos, contribuyendo al proceso cíclico de enseñanza-aprendizaje.A pesquisa aborda as dificuldades de ensino-aprendizagem do curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo na Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT) e investiga se esses problemas, levantados com o auxílio do Núcleo Diretor Estruturante (NDE), são inerentes ao ensino superior na área ou se advêm de questões relacionadas ao ensino médio. O projeto de Inovação Pedagógica (PIP), responsável pelo trabalho, utilizou a técnica de ouvir e acolher para identificar as dificuldades e promoveu diálogos com os docentes e discentes, utilizando metodologia de pesquisa-ação, acerca de metodologias ativas de ensino e estilos de aprendizagem. Foram desenvolvidos materiais didáticos e realizadas oficinas de nivelamento, monitorias e minicursos embasados também em metodologias ativas. O resultado indicou que os problemas são similares em ambas as esferas de ensino e que o processo de ensino dos docentes está relacionado com seus próprios estilos de aprendizagem.
