Resumo: In this paper, we analyze the resonances between the authoritarian rubble present in the institutions and the contemporary "conservative" discourse. We believe that the absence of transitional justice, combined with the maintenance of the powers and privileges of the Armed Forces in the 1988 Constitution, supports both the actions of these actors in the past and authoritarian practices on the part of the institutions and among the citizens themselves in the present. Given the political opportunities that have arisen in the last decade for the right, we can see the recovery and updating of arguments that were very common during that period, such as military tutelage, the communist threat and the rejection of human rights, which have been disseminated, above all, through social media.

SciELO PreprintsSciELO PreprintsSciELO Preprints2023-09-22info:eu-repo/semantics/preprintinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/preprint/view/695410.1590/SciELOPreprints.6954porhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/article/view/6954/13075Copyright (c) 2023 Natasha Bachini, Pedro Fassoni Arrudahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBachini, NatashaArruda, Pedro Fassonireponame:SciELO Preprintsinstname:Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO)instacron:SCI2023-09-19T00:23:57Zoai:ops.preprints.scielo.org:preprint/6954Servidor de preprintshttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scieloONGhttps://preprints.scielo.org/index.php/scielo/oaiscielo.submission@scielo.orgopendoar:2023-09-19T00:23:57SciELO Preprints - Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO)false
