Online data collection from the point of psychology teachers

Resumo: | This study aims to identify the perception of Psychology professors in relation to online data collection, and whether this research model generates time savings. This is an exploratory study of quali-quantitative approach with data from the web survey applied to psychology professors using LimeSurvey 2.0 tool. Descriptive statistical analysis and thematic content analysis was performed. They were mostly women with high levels of education. The following topics emerged: easier access to the subjects, flexibility and agility; data collection instrument characteristics; lack of interaction between subject and researchers, and weaknesses of on-line data collection. The results confirmed the positiveness results of the on-line survey, but alerts for their suitability to the goals, objects, subjects and research methods. Keywords: Data collection techniques; Digital technologies; Research methodology.Estudo objetivando identificar a percepção de professores de Psicologia em relação a coleta de dados on-line, e se este modelo de pesquisa gera economicidade de tempo. Realizou-se estudo exploratório de abordagem quanti-qualitativa com dados provenientes da aplicação de instrumento on-line a professores de Psicologia através da ferramenta LimeSurvey, em sua versão 2.0. Procedeu-se análise estatística descritiva e análise temática de conteúdo. Emergiram as temáticas: facilidade de acesso aos sujeitos, flexibilidade e agilidade; características do instrumento de coleta de dados; falta de interação entre sujeito e pesquisadores e fragilidades da coleta de dados on-line. Conclui-se pela positividade da coleta on-line, mas alerta-se para sua adequação aos objetivos, objetos, sujeitos e métodos da pesquisa.
