Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of Azospirillum brasilense inoculation forms on growth and productivity of different maize hybrids. The experiment was carried out in Patos de Minas, MG under no-tillage, with 29 maize hybrids treated with: 1) no A. Brasiliense treatment, 2) leaf spray with A. brasiliense, 3) seed Inoculation with A. brasiliense. The experimental design performed was a factorial scheme (29x3) under a randomized block design, with three replicates. The analyzed variables encompassed growth and yield-related variables i.e.: 10 spike weight, grain yield and bags per hectare. The interaction of hybrids and treatments was not significant. The factor treatment was significant for all considered variables. For leaf spray, all growth-related variables were higher than the water control. And, when inoculating into seeds, only spike number per plant was higher than the untreated control. From the obtained results, A. brasiliensis has the potential for maize growth and yield improvement when the bacterial leaf treatment is used, regardless of the considered hybrid.
