Resumo: Soil management systems with different crop residue inputs and different soil mobilization degrees, influence microbial community structure and activity, affecting crop productivity and soil quality. In the present study, we evaluated the microbial attributes of a Paleudult with three crop systems (winter fallow or two crop rotations) under conventional tillage or no-tillage, having a natural pasture as the reference system. Microbial biomass, respiratory activity, activity of β-glicosidase, urease, arylsulphatase and acid phosphatase, besides metabolic diversity, were evaluated. The analysis of microbial biomass and respiratory activity, as well as the index of enzymatic activities, revealed that no-till and natural pasture were quite similar, differing from soil under conventional tillage, with no influence of crop systems on these parameters. Regarding metabolic diversity, it was observed a distinct pattern between conventional tillage and the all other treatments. As a whole, considering the microbial indicators analyzed in this research, no-tillage resembled to natural pasture and the crop systems did not impact the biochemical indicators evaluated.
