Resumo: Hemoglobin types was studied in 239 Corriedale sheep (24 with HbA, 103 with HbAB and 112 with HbB) exposed to the saine types of management and natural conditions. The possible associaton of the phenotype distribution of these protein with the productive performance of the ewes (estimated by pregnancy rate, the number of marked lambs, fleece weigth and fleece quality) was investigated. Resulta showed that the pregnancy rate and number of marked lambs was higher in the HbA group but this difference was not significant statistically. Groups HbA and HbAB showed heavier flecte weight than HbB. 'The fleece quality was inferior on the second shearing and significant statistical differences were encoutered between the HbAB and HbB groups.
