Resumo: The aim of this work was to characterize the growth of strawberry varieties in organic crop system. The experiment was conducted in Embrapa Clima Temperado, Estação Experimental Cascata, Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul. The treatments were composed by two experimental factors combination: variety (‘Aromas’, ‘Albion’, ‘Camarosa’ and ‘Camino Real’) and plant sampling date (108; 155; 184 and 241 days after setting – DAS). The evaluated variables were: time-course of aboveground plant parts dry mass production and partitioning, time-course of yield and growth rates (of fruit, vegetative shoot and crop and relative crop growth rate). All varieties showed continuous accumulation of vegetative shoot, fruits and total aboveground plant parts dry mass, as well as, of yield. ‘Camarosa’ presented the highest dry mass production of all organs from 108 DAS. The dry mass partitioning to the fruits represented from 2 to 12 % at fruiting beginning until 49.5 to 60.6% at the end of crop-season. These values indicate that fruits were the strongest sinks of assimilates. The highest yield was obtained in ‘Aromas’ and ‘Camarosa’ (64.2 and 59.1 Mg ha-1, respectively).

As cultivares Aromas e Camarosa apresentaram as maiores produtividades (59,1 e 64,2 Mg ha-1, respectivamente). Departamento de Diagnóstico e Pesquisa Agropecuária.
