Duringtheperiodinvestigated, 63 bloodtransfusionswereperformed, 68.25% in femalepatients, andthemajority (n=59; 93.65%) performed in theIntensiveCare Unit. The greatestadherenceto safe practiceswas in thepre-transfusionstage (n=59; 93.65%); andduringtransfusion (n=59; 93.65%). The findingsofthisstudyshowedpotential in termsoffilling out theconsentformand medical prescription. Ontheotherhand, weaknesseswereidentified in completingtheTransfusionRequisition. It isnecessarytoreinforcegoodpracticeswiththenursingteam, as well as tocarry out training tocarry out a safe transfusion.

Se trata de unestudiodescriptivocon enfoque cuantitativo. Enelcual se analizaronlosprontuarios de pacientes que recibierontransfusiones de sangre, enel período comprendido entre el 1 de octubre y el 31 de diciembre de 2021, enunpequeño Hospital Escuela, ubicadoenlaregión noroeste del estado de Paraná. Durante el período investigado, se realizaron 63 transfusiones de sangre, siendo (n=43; 68,25%) en pacientes del sexo femenino, siendolamayoría (n=59; 93,65%) realizadas enlaUnidad de Cuidados Intensivos. La mayoradherencia a prácticas seguras fueenla etapa pretransfusional (n=59; 93,65%); y durante latransfusión (n=59; 93,65%). Los hallazgos de este estudiomostraron potencialidades enladuración de lacumplimentacióndelformulario de consentimiento y prescripción médica. Por otro lado, se identificaron debilidades eneldiligenciamientodelRequerimiento de Transfusión. Es necesarioreforzarlasbuenasprácticasconel equipo de enfermería, así como realizar capacitaciones para realizar una transfusión segura.Estudo objetivo de investigar a execução do processo de hemotransfusão em relação ao cumprimento do protocolo de boas práticas.Trata-se de estudo descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa. Em que se analisaram os prontuários de pacientes que receberam transfusões sanguíneas, no período entre 01 de outubro a 31 de dezembro de 2021, em um Hospital Ensino, de pequeno porte, situado na região noroeste do estado do Paraná. Durante o período investigado foram realizadas 63 hemotransfusões, sendo (n=43; 68,25%) em pacientes do sexo feminino, e a maioria (n=59; 93,65%) realizadas em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. A maior adesão às práticas seguras foi na etapa de pré-transfusão (n=59; 93,65%); e durante transfusão (n=59; 93,65%). Os achados desse estudo evidenciaram potencialidades no comprimento do preenchimento do termo de consentimento e da prescrição médica. Por outro lado, identificaram-se fragilidades no preenchimento da Requisição Transfusional.
