Evaluation of the preschoolers: a focus on nursing diagnosis

Resumo: Objective: to evaluate the child development and do a profile survey of nursing diagnosis according to NANDA-I among preschoolers of an early childhood education center. Method: a cross-sectional, descriptive-exploratory study with a quantitative approach, held from October 2015 to April 2016, in a early childhood education center located in the urban area from the city of Redenção-Ce. Data were compiled in Excel software and analyzed using SPSS version 20.0. Results: one hundred and ten children were evaluated. In the fine motor assessments 93,63% were able to perform the tests completely, on the coarse motor 96,36%, personal-social 90% and language 86,36% according to each age group presented. Eighteen nursing diagnosis were identified (average of 4,5 for each child), twenty defining characteristics (average of 3,4 for each child) and forty related factors (average of 6,5 for each child). Nursing diagnosis with greater proportion, above the 75th percentile, were: risk of falling (100%) and poor recreation activity (100%). Conclusion: the development of preschoolers was satisfactory, since most tests have obtained positive results. The main diagnoses presented by preschoolers were related to the safety of the school environment, hygiene problems related to the child himself, socioeconomic condition and education of children's families.

Método: estudo transversal, descritivo-exploratório com abordagem quantitativa, realizado de outubro de 2015 a abril de 2016, em um Centro de Educação Infantil localizado na área urbana do município de Redenção-Ce. Os dados foram compilados no software Excel e analisados no programa SPSS em sua versão 20.0. Resultado: foram avaliadas 110 crianças. Na avaliação motora fina 93,63% conseguiram realizar integralmente os testes, na motora grossa 96,36%, pessoal-social 90% e linguagem 86,36%, de acordo com cada faixa apresentada. Foram identificados 18 Diagnósticos de Enfermagem (média de 4,5 por criança), 20 Características Definidoras (média 3,4 por criança) e 40 Fatores Relacionados (média de 6,5 por criança). Os diagnósticos de enfermagem com maior proporção, acima do percentil 75, foram: Risco de queda (100%) e atividade de recreação deficiente (100%). Conclusão: o desenvolvimento dos pré-escolares mostrou-se satisfatório, visto que a maioria dos testes realizados obtiveram resultados positivos.
