COMPETENCES TO PROMOTE HEALTH IN NURSING TRAINING: CONTRIBUTIONS FROM UNIVERSITY EXTENSION

Resumo: Objective: To describe how university extension contributions to the development of health promotion skills in nursing education. Method: This is an integrative review, carried out by two independent researchers. After applying the filters and refining the findings, a total of 13 articles were obtained that comprised the corpus of analysis of this study. Results: Studies show that university extension favors the development of skills: professionalism, protagonism, cooperation, communication and humanization of the care provided. Final considerations: It is concluded that the university extension is a device to mediate and disseminate guidelines that contribute to the development of professional and personal skills of nursing students.

Método: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, realizada por dois pesquisadores independentes. Resultados: Os estudos apontam que a extensão universitária favorece o desenvolvimento das competências: profissionalismo, protagonismo, cooperação, comunicação e humanização do cuidado prestado.
