Resumo: Objective: To know the assistance provided by a multiprofessional team to patients undergoing radiodermatitis cancer treatment. Method: A qualitative and descriptive study, conducted in 2018, in a Radiotherapy and Oncology Service, a reference in western Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, with nine professionals from the multidisciplinary team of the service. Data collected through semi-structured interviews recorded in audio, transcribed and submitted to thematic content analysis. Results: Professionals recognize radiodermatitis as frequent in patients and provide guidance to minimize this adverse effect. Conclusion: The professionals of the service provide assistance to patients with radiodermatitis, by indicating topical products that can be used to minimize the lesion, and guidance on the care to be taken to prevent radiodermatitis.

Método: Estudo qualitativo e descritivo, realizado em 2018, em um Serviço de Radioterapia e Oncologia, referência do oeste do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil tendo como participantes nove profissionais da equipe multiprofissional do serviço. Dados coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada gravada em áudio, transcritas e submetidas à análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados: Os profissionais reconhecem a radiodermite como sendo frequente nos pacientes e realizam orientações para minimizar esse efeito adverso.
