Objective: to review the contemporary literature on Evidence-Based Nursing, offering elements for reflection on the aspects that permeate care actions in the health care network. Methodology: integrative literature review, searching for articles published between 2011 and 2017, in the Virtual Health Library and CINAHL. Results: 1335 studies were found, of which 23 met the inclusion criteria. The analysis resulted in two categories, observing the context of care performed in the care network: devices that foster practice based on scientific evidence and educational strategies as a tool for care practice. Conclusion: the analysis of the studies showed important advances in the development and use of scientific research in the professional practice of nurses, which demonstrates the potential for transposition of the division between research and care, aiming at the autonomy and the quality of its praxis.
