Resumo: | Objective: to identify the types of educational interventions that exist and/or are used in adolescents at risk for metabolic syndrome. Method: this is an integrative review in the following databases: MEDLINE, CINAHL, Embase, Web of Science and LILACS, BDENF and Ibecs. A cross-reference search was also carried out, based on the descriptors: Adolescent, Health Education, Risk Factors and Metabolic Syndrome. Results: nineteen articles were identified, reviewed, synthesized and critically analyzed, and the types of educational interventions for the target audience were non-drug and drug and/or lifestyle guidelines. Final considerations: the results of the review showed that educational interventions, whether drug or non-drug, associated with lifestyle guidelines, showed improvements in the five determinants of metabolic syndrome and in other non-determinants, directly influencing health and well-being -being of teenagers. |
