The non-use of the standard operating procedures by health professionals in a dialysis centre

It aims to identify if the health team uses the Standard Operating Procedures at the time of the hemodialysispatient care and to describe the possible diffi culties for the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures by the team in the context of hemodialysis. This is a descriptive study of a qualitative approach, with semi-structured questionnaires and analyzed in the light of Laurence Bardin, carried out in a university hospital in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Participated in the semi-structured interview 85% of the unit professionals betweendoctors, medical residents, nursing residents, nurses, technicians and nursing assistants in the period from May toJune 2016. Three categories were found, grouped in the format of direct citations of the philosophical referenceused in the original dissertation, Paulo Freire, as demonstrated in the course of this study. It concludes that theresults lead us to refl ect on the importance of Permanent Education in health for the information and debates forbetter adherence of the Standard Operating Procedures in the care units.Keywords: Renal Dialysis; Hospital Accreditation; Continued Education; Tertiary Healthcare; Health Education.
