Verifica-se que a utilização de embriões humanos em pesquisas com células-tronco promove grandes discussões no que refere-se à violação ao direito à vida e à dignidade humana. Dentre os mais diversos posicionamentos destacam-se as duas principais correntes: A primeira defende a detenção de direitos fundamentais pelos embriões humanos baseada em dados científicos que demonstram peculiaridades biológicas presentes desde os estágios iniciais da existência do embrião. Essa teoria baseia-se também na defesa do surgimento da vida no momento da fecundação, diagnosticando por meio de sua análise a violação ao direito à vida e à dignidade nos procedimentos realizados em investigações realizadas pela ciência genética. Já a segunda corrente defende a não detenção de direito à vida e à dignidade humana pelos embriões. Utiliza-se, para tanto, entendimentos que designam o surgimento da vida somente após a implantação do embrião no útero, junto à interpretação do complexo normativo brasileiro. Verifica-se que a Lei de Biossegurança nacional posiciona-se a favor da manipulação científica com embriões humanos. No entanto encontra-se nessa lei algumas contradições. Constata-se, ainda, a diversidade de posicionamentos no âmbito internacional com relação a liberação ou não do uso de embriões humanos em pesquisa genéticas.Research on the manipulation of human embryos for genetic engineering in face to the right to the life and the dignity human being. It is verified that the use of human embryos in research with cell-trunk promotes great quarrels in what the breaking is mentioned to it to the right to the life and the dignity human being. Amongst the most diverse positionings the two main chains are distinguished: The first one defends the detention of basic rights for the human embryos based in scientific data that demonstrate to biological peculiarities gifts since the initial periods of training of the existence of the embryo. This theory is also based on the defense of the sprouting of the life at the moment of the fecundação, diagnosising by means of its analysis the breaking to the right to the life and the dignity in the procedures carried through in inquiries carried through for genetic science. Already the second chain defends not the detention of right to the life and the dignity human being for the embryos. It is used, for in such a way, agreements that only assign to the sprouting of the life after the implantation of the embryo in the uterus, next to the interpretation of the Brazilian normative complex. It is verified that the Law of national Biossegurança is located in favor of the scientific manipulation with human embryos. However one meets in this law some contradictions.
