A poluição sonora acarreta grandes conseqüências para a saúde, não são percebidas à primeira vista e sim com o passar do tempo. Infelizmente a poluição sonora cresce muito no Brasil e no Distrito Federal não é diferente. O grande crescimento se dá por falta de planejamento urbano e principalmente falta de fiscalização rigorosa, pois existem leis distritais (Lei nº 1.065/1996 e Lei nº 4.092/2008). A poluição sonora além de prejudicial à saúde tem gerado violência no Distrito Federal. A dificuldade de fiscalizar existe, pois no Instituto do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Hídricos do Distrito Federal (IBRAM) são poucos fiscais. Os bares e restaurantes no plano piloto são os geradores mais freqüentes da poluição sonora, pois seus estabelecimentos ficam exatamente ao lado dos setores residenciais e por falta de isolamento acústico o barulho torna-se insuportável. O Ministério Público do Distrito Federal e Territórios (MPDFT) recebe inúmeras denúncias de estabelecimentos que não respeitam as leis distritais. Os bares e boates como dito antes são os geradores mais freqüentes da poluição sonora, mas em Águas Claras, por exemplo, a poluição é produzida pelas construções, barulho de martelos e outros equipamentos. Nos horários de engarrafamento os barulhos dos carros também incomodam. No Distrito Federal a poluição atinge o meio ambiente de diversas maneiras.This research has the intention to discuss the pollution in the environment, specifically the noise kind. Noise pollution causes significant health consequences, which are not perceived at first glance but over time. Unfortunately, the noise grows a lot in Brazil and at the Federal District it is not different. The big growth has been due to lack of urban planning and especially lack of strict enforcement, since there are Federal District’s laws about that theme(Law No. 1.065/1996 and Law No. 4.092/2008). Noise pollution besides harmful to health has generated violence in the Federal District. The difficulty of monitoring exists because the Office of Environment and Water Resources of the Federal District (IBRAM) has just a few number of agents. The bars and restaurants in the Plano Piloto are the most common generators of noise pollution because their shops are too close to residential areas and lack of acoustic noise becomes the sound unbearable. The prosecutor of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) receives numerous complaints from businesses that do not respect the Federal District’s legislation. The bars and nightclubs as said before are the most common generators of noise pollution, but in Águas Claras, for example, pollution is produced by the construction, the noise of hammers and other equipment. In times of bottling the noises of the cars also annoy.
