Virtual communities and Quilombismo - A case study on the collective pretux

Resumo: This article aims to present the racial collective PretUX, which was created with the purpose of promoting the inclusion of black people in the field of User Experience Design (UX). In addition, it aims to establish a relationship between the characteristics of this collective and the theoretical concepts of virtual communities, as described by Rheingold (1998), through the perspective of "digital aquilombamento". A survey was conducted through a form sent to the PretUX group via Telegram, and the results were analyzed in order to draw parallels with the characteristics of virtual communities, based on the pillars of interactivity, permanence and belonging.
