Resumo: The consolidation of Information and Consolidation Technology (ICT) tools in organizations enables significant alterations in the work-flow and structural fluxes that often impact the psychological and physical health of the employees who utilize them, leaving them more susceptible to technological stress, also known as technostress, which consists in a modern adaptational disease caused by the inability to deal with new technologies in a healthy manner. The current study elicited, through the Technostress Scale (RED), the existance of an association between technostress??? dimensions and demographic, labor and psychosocial variables in IT professionals in public and private organizations located in Distrito Federal (Brazil) from April 14th to May 1st 2019. Eletronic survey was utilized to collect the data. Of the 102 answers, 49 (valid cases) Distrito Federal inhabitants were utilized. The Technostress Scale kept the four factor structure (disbelief, fatigue, anxiety and inefficiency. Low levels of technostress were observed in the IT researchers??? category and moderate levels in the IT professionals???. There was no influence of socio-demographic nor work related variables connected to technostress in the studied sample.
