Regional telejournalism in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul: the presence of RBS TV and the Jornal do Almoço

Resumo: In recent years, television stations in Rio Grande do Sul have gone through restructuring processes that have contributed to the extinction or reduction of regional news spaces. The broadcaster RBS TV still meets, in a way, this demand, even if, gradually, it has been reducing its operations in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. The study aims to problematize the importance of regional journalism, especially television, within the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The analysis was focused on the RBS TV station, specifically on the Jornal do Almoço program. Through the observation methodology (GIL, 2008), six editions of the television news were analyzed during the period of one week. The observational method was aimed at verifying the time allocated to each region in relation to the total time of the television news and which subjects were dealt with by each regional segment. In addition, considerations were presented on the observations of the editions analyzed. As a result, it could be seen that, over the years, the RBS TV station is gradually reducing access to information for communities in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.

El estudio tiene como objetivo problematizar la importancia del periodismo regional, especialmente la televisión, dentro del estado de Rio Grande do Sul. El análisis se centró en el canal RBS TV, específicamente en el programa Jornal do Almoço. A través de la metodología de observación (GIL, 2008), se analizaron seis ediciones de los noticieros televisivos durante el período de una semana. El método observacional tuvo como objetivo verificar el tiempo asignado a cada región en relación al tiempo total de los informativos televisivos y qué temas fueron tratados por cada segmento regional. Además, se presentaron consideraciones sobre las observaciones de las ediciones analizadas. Como resultado, se puede ver que, a lo largo de los años, la emisora ​​RBS TV está reduciendo gradualmente el acceso a la información para las comunidades del interior de Rio Grande do Sul.Nos últimos anos, as emissoras de televisão no Rio Grande do Sul têm passado por processos de reestruturação que contribuíram para a extinção ou diminuição dos espaços regionais de notícias. A emissora RBS TV ainda atende, de certa forma, esta demanda, mesmo que, paulatinamente, venha diminuindo sua atuação no interior gaúcho. O estudo tem por objetivo problematizar a importância do jornalismo regional, especialmente o televisivo, no âmbito do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. A análise foi focada na emissora RBS TV, especificamente no programa Jornal do Almoço. Por meio da metodologia de observação (GIL, 2008), foram analisadas seis edições do telejornal durante o período de uma semana. O método observacional foi voltado à verificação do tempo destinado à cada região em relação ao tempo total do telejornal e quais assuntos foram tratados por cada segmento regional. Além disso, foram apresentadas ponderações sobre as observações das edições analisadas.
