Resumo: The present study is related to the development of a device that was created to carry out the automated control of the oxygen flow used by individuals who need oxygen suport. Oxygen therapy is used to improve blood oxygenation in patients who have some need for ventilatory support, by offering inhaled oxygen. The device attaches to manual flowmeters found in clinical/hospital settings to control parameters related to oxygen therapy. The Oxygen Therapy Automation Device - DAOXI controls oxygenation through external programming for reading an oximeter and mechanical actuation of the flowmeter. In this prototype, developed using the Internet of Things (IoT), we have a utility model for the automated control of oxygen flow, to control parameters related to oxygen therapy. DAOXI, through a software, performs the automated control and monitoring of the individual's blood oxygenation, making adjustments in the oxygen flow administered according to the desired Target Saturation for each patient. Through a data control and processing center, the device also promotes integration with a platform for recording, managing and analyzing data that allows issuing alerts, generating reports and using specific algorithms for intelligent control. Automated control will then be carried out by monitoring the individual's blood oxygenation and increasing or decreasing the flow of oxygen administered according to the required Target Saturation to be reached for each patient. Through an on-board data processing and control center, the device also has integration with a data recording and analysis platform that allows issuing alerts, generating reports, predicting oxygenation patterns intelligently and using specific algorithms for control. Bench tests were performed with the submission of the device in tests to evaluate the functioning of the algorithm, predicting different configured target saturations, observing the valve actuation and also, maintaining as visual flow feedback, observed in the analog ruler during the tests, comparing with the flow recorded on the device and system as part of the Product Validation process.

A oxigenoterapia é utilizada para melhorar a oxigenação sanguínea, de pacientes que apresentem alguma necessidade de suporte ventilatório, pela oferta de oxigênio inalatório. O dispositivo se acopla aos fluxômetros manuais, encontrados em ambientes clínicos/hospitalares, para controlar os parâmetros relacionados à oxigenoterapia. O Dispositivo de Automação da Oxigenoterapia - DAOXI controla a oxigenação por meio de programação externa para a leitura de um oxímetro e atuação mecânica do fluxômetro. Neste protótipo, desenvolvido utilizando Internet das Coisas (IoT), temos um modelo de utilidade para o controle automatizado do fluxo de oxigênio, para controlar os parâmetros relacionados à oxigenoterapia. O DAOXI por meio de um software realiza o controle automatizado e o monitorando da oxigenação sanguínea do indivíduo, realiza os ajustes no fluxo de oxigênio administrado de acordo com a Saturação Alvo desejada, pelo monitoramento da oxigenação sanguínea do indivíduo, aumentando ou diminuindo o fluxo de oxigênio administrado de acordo com a Saturação Alvo necessária a ser atingida para cada paciente. Através de uma central de controle e processamento de dados embarcada, o dispositivo também tem integração com uma plataforma de registro e análise de dados que permite emitir alertas, gerar relatórios, prever padrões de oxigenação de forma inteligente e utilizar algoritmos específicos para o controle.
