Resumo: | Violence against women cannot be generalized due to the complexity and implications that pervade economic, cultural, psychosocial and health factors; it is necessary to contextualize the theme with a view to effective interventions to end violence. Data on urgent protective measures of the Women's Court in Ponta Grossa/PR, from 2014 to 2020, illustrate this reflection by demonstrating a trend interrupted in March/April this year when social isolation began due to the pandemic of COVID-19: the fall in the requests for protection of women in situations of violence does not indicate a reduction in the problem, but suggests other guises. Aiming to reflect on the subject, bibliographic, field and documentary research portray, in this article, violence against women from the perspective of human rights; rescue preliminary analyzes of the new coronavirus and the consequences for women in situations of violence; and expose the work of the Judiciary in these cases in the pandemic, stressing the need for even stronger action among Public Policies in the face of the problem. |
