Resumo: This paper aims to demonstrate the role of mediated activity in learning of scientific concepts. The data presented are a part of a research developed in a professional master's degree whose purpose was to apply an Interactive Didactic Sequence (IDS) to investigate the learning of scientific concepts about epidemic diseases in Science Teaching. The results showed a conceptual change on the part of the students about the content worked, this process is related to the mediated activity, provided by the several activities contained in the educational product, that enabled the identification, definition and use of the concepts, contributing to voluntary attention and memory, crucial processes for the internalization of concepts.
