Analysis of educational policies on Stricto Sensu Postgraduate in the context of the teachers continuing education

Resumo: This article provides qualitative analyzes of a research that aims to understand some aspects of public policies that normalize the continuing education of teachers at the postgraduate level. This theme is justified by the current moment of discussion of Brazilian educational policies, in view of the need to expand and improve the postgraduate system with a view to qualifying the country's higher education system, the Science and Technology system and the business sector. In the methodological scope, we carried out a bibliographical-documentary survey with the purpose of investigating the approaches of the education policies directed to the stricto-sensu post-graduation, aiming to approach the proposals of incentive and foment to the research resulting from the public policies in force. We found that alterations in public development policies had a negative impact on student demand and the flow of graduates in the Professional Master's course investigated as a case study.

Essa temática se justifica pelo momento atual de discussão das políticas educacionais brasileiras, frente às necessidades de expansão e aperfeiçoamento do sistema de pós-graduação com vistas à qualificação do sistema de ensino superior do país, do sistema de Ciência e Tecnologia e do setor empresarial. No âmbito metodológico realizamos um levantamento de dados bibliográfico-documental com o intuito de investigar os enfoques das políticas educacionais direcionadas à pós-graduação stricto-sensu, objetivando abordar as propostas de incentivo e fomento à pesquisa decorrentes das políticas públicas vigentes. Constatamos que alterações nas políticas públicas de fomento impactaram negativamente na demanda dos estudantes e no fluxo de egressos no curso de Mestrado Profissional investigado como estudo de caso.
