Resumo: Decimal numbers form part of the process of mathematical evolution, which is consistent with the evolution of civilization. In this context, the guiding question of the research carried out arises: What are the characteristics of the master's and doctoral research studies about teaching or learning decimal numbers? In this paper, we present the results of a research that aimed to investigate the characteristics of the master's and doctoral researches studied on teaching or learning decimal numbers, taking into account the authors, counselors, institutions and graduate programs. Still sorting them according to your specifications. To do so, a survey was carried out in the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level Personnel (CAPES) in which the keyword "decimals" and "decimal" were used to find the works that were the focus of this study. In that were found 26 publications and classified in 5 groups, namely: Studies that investigated the conceptual difficulty and the operations with decimals; Studies that presented teaching proposals; Studies that investigate difficulties in solving problems with the decimals; Studies that investigated teachers' knowledge and practices on decimal numbers; and Studies that investigated about decimal numbers in pure mathematics.

Os números decimais configuram como integrante no processo de evolução da matemática, e essa é consoante com a evolução da civilização. Nesse contexto que surge a questão norteadora da investigação realizada: Quais as características das pesquisas a nível de mestrado e doutorado estudaram sobre ensino ou aprendizagem de números decimais? Diante disto, neste trabalho é apresentado os resultados de uma pesquisa que objetivou investigar as características das pesquisas a nível de mestrado e doutorado que estudaram sobre ensino ou aprendizagem de números decimais, com destaque aos autores, orientadores, instituições e programas de pós-graduação. Ainda classificando-as conforme suas especificações. Para tanto, foi realizado um levantamento no Banco de Teses e Dissertações fomentado pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) em que foram utilizadas as palavras-chave “decimais” e “decimal”, separadamente, para encontrar os trabalhos foco desse estudo.
