Conceptual maps as a didactic resource for teaching Environmental Education

Resumo: | This paper describes an experience report involving the construction of conceptual maps as a didactic resource for reviewing relevant topics on Environmental Education, which were developed along the school year. This review aimed to make students aware of their role concerning environment quality. The participants were 28 students of 7th grade of Elementary School Final Years, in the discipline of Physical and Biological Sciences, from a public school located in the countryside of São Paulo. The results showed that using conceptual maps not only helped to amplify and understand concepts that had already been worked out, but also allowed the students to understand their role as citizens in relation to environment quality, because although many of them regard their individual participation as not relevant, that is not true; our action really matter, as we live related to one another and to all Nature. |

Essa revisão teve como objetivo sensibilizar os alunos quanto ao seu papel na qualidade do meio ambiente. Participaram desta experiência 28 alunos de uma turma do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental Anos Finais na disciplina de Ciências Físicas e Biológicas de uma escola pública localizada no interior de São Paulo.
