Mathematical creativity: some historical elements in the constitution of the field of research and pedagogical intervention

Resumo: | Technological advancement is proceeding at an admirable speed and, therefore, new problems arise and need to be answered. In this sense, we highlight the importance of investing in creativity, especially in the field of mathematics, as a way to advance in the production of knowledge and technologies and in the creation of new forms of social organization that allow a sustainable development and quality of life for all. Mathematical creativity is a relatively new field of research and has attracted more people each year. In this article, we present a brief history of the genesis and development of research on this topic. We hope that this article will contribute to the academic community in order to offer an insight into this field. |

En este sentido, destacamos la importancia de invertir en la creatividad, especialmente en el campo de las matemáticas, como una forma de avanzar en la producción de conocimiento y tecnologías y en la creación de nuevas formas de organización social que permitan el desarrollo sostenible y la calidad de vida para todos. La creatividad en matemáticas es un campo de investigación relativamente nuevo y ha atraído a más personas cada año. En este artículo presentamos una breve historia de la génesis y desarrollo de la investigación sobre este tema. Esperamos que este artículo contribuya a la comunidad académica para ofrecer una visión de dicho campo de estudio.O avanço tecnológico corre em velocidade admirável e, com isso, surgem novos problemas que precisam ser respondidos. Nesse sentido, destacamos a importância do investimento em criatividade, em especial no campo da matemática, como forma de avançar na produção de conhecimentos e de tecnologias e na criação de novas formas de organização social que permitam o desenvolvimento sustentável e a qualidade de vida para todos. A criatividade em matemática é um campo de pesquisa relativamente novo e tem conquistado maior número de interessados a cada ano. Neste artigo, apresentamos um breve histórico sobre a gênese e o desenvolvimento da pesquisa acerca dessa temática.
