Categories for the educational use of films with scientific and technological elements

Resumo: Despite the efforts of the scientific community, several sectors of society remain distant to the knowledge, techniques, social practices and history of Science and Technology. The project “Light, camera and ... science” promotes activities developed in the scope of scientific education through the use of cinematographic works. At a broader level, Project “Light, camera and ... science” develops scientific education actions for the Ouro Preto society, which is capable of promoting social empowerment in the face of contemporary scientific and technological challenges. The objective of this article is to present scientific and technological aspects present in films with elements of Science and Technology. From the content analysis, 14 films were analyzed and 7 categories of scientific and technological aspects addressed by cinematographic works were proposed. The article emphasizes that cinematographic productions can be used as tools for the appropriation of scientific culture by society.

O projeto XXXXXX promove atividades desenvolvidas no âmbito da educação científica por meio da utilização de obras cinematográficas. Num plano mais amplo, o projeto XXXXXX desenvolve ações de educação científica para a sociedade YYYYYYY, que por sua vez é capaz de promover o empoderamento social frente a desafios científicos e tecnológicos da contemporaneidade. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar aspectos científicos e tecnológicos presentes em filmes com elementos de cientificidade. A partir da análise de conteúdo, foram analisados 14 filmes e propostas 7 categorias de aspectos científicos e tecnológicos abordados pelas obras cinematográficas. O artigo destaca que produções cinematográficas podem ser utilizadas como ferramentas para a apropriação da cultura científica pela sociedade.
